Aluminum Engine Blocks cast for
Fejer Bothers and George Eaton.
George Eaton (Eaton's Dept. Stores) was
rookie of the year at the INDY 500 in 1970.
Early in July blueprints were sent to
Vernon Corp. to construct tooling to produce aluminum
engine blocks and various components for
the new flat "boxer" opposed 8 cylinder engine.
Fejer Brothers Racing were the builders
for George Eaton. A total of 13 engines
were cast and the completed cars qualified
for the INDY 500 the following May.

James Besmer's Formula: Basi HJB 3
Cast wheel support housings and Z transaxle
housings in cast aluminum
were supplied for a number of cars by
Vernon Corp.
